Meth arrest second for Madison, Indiana man

A Madison, Indiana man has been arrested for a second time in connection with operating a methamphetamine lab in his home.

Lionel Scott Cutter, 2918 Kentucky Ave. Apt. A, was arrested Monday night along with his wife, Gwendolyn, after Indiana State Police raided the couple’s hilltop residence. Officers found evidence of a methamphetamine lab in the home, according to ISP Trooper Mark True. Charges are pending.

On Oct. 9, 2002, Cutter, then of 1336 Old Milton-Bedford Pike, Milton, Ky., was arrested and charged with first- degree manufacturing of methamphetamine, a Class B felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor; and endangering the welfare of a minor, a Class A misdemeanor.

The Trimble County, Indiana case has not gone to court as lab results have yet to be processed, a clerk in the commonwealth attorney’s office said. Cutter was released from jail Jan. 3, 2003, on a $10,000 bond, she said.

Cutter and his wife were among five people who have been arrested this week as part of an Indiana State Police three-month investigation of methamphetamine-related activity around the hilltop area, said ISP Lt. Marty McKinney.

Linda LaBonte of 2604 E. Buckeye Lane was arrested and charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. David Huy, 136 Skyline Drive Lot 94, was arrested for housing a meth lab in his residence; charges are pending. Pebble Hall of 3042 W. County Road 500 N. was arrested for possession of methamphetamines; charges are pending. All are being held without bail.

McKinney said there is a chance that more methamphetamine-related activity will be uncovered in the Madison area.

“We’re continuing to investigate based on leads that we have,” he said.
